Salt and Speech was created within the height of the covid pandemic in 2020. I knew I wanted to find a way to share the Gospel with others, and the pandemic gave me even more reason to share the good news of Jesus with those around me. As a young girl, I loved creating and using artistic outlets to bring glory to God. Through these passions and the Lord’s leading, I realized that I wanted to start an art account on instagram to bring Him glory.

As a college student, my life seemed to be a little all over the place for a few years. I invested a little in S+S during this time, but I did not pour into it the way I should have. After I graduated in May of 2023, I felt the Lord calling me to work at a summer camp for underprivileged kids in Missouri. While I was serving, the Lord started to give me vision for what He wanted Salt + Speech to be. I spent many days dreaming up S+S with God during my time in Missouri and felt a burden to go home and start investing in what God had called me to many years before.

After coming back to Georgia, I started creating with the Lord again. It has been such a joyful journey putting into words and artwork what He is teaching me. I have loved every second of building this with the Lord. I felt that the Lord wanted to create a space for His Word and truth to be shared in different artistic mediums. He desires to give us practical steps to live life with Him that are rooted in His Word.

There is so much more to come! He is still planning, moving, working, revealing, and leading me into deeper waters. I am grateful for a God who lets us join in with Him on His mission to reach the lost!
